Choosing between Two Homes
One of the biggest nightmares for buyers in real estate is finding two perfect homes at the same time. It can be very difficult to choose between two properties when they both offer great qualities.
Here are some questions to ask yourself when trying to narrow it down:
1) Which home offers more convenience? One of the best questions to ask yourself when deciding between two properties is which home will bring convenience to your life. Which home is closer to your workplace or your spouse’s? Which home has great schools nearby? Which home requires the least amount of renovations? Convenience translates into less stress and more relaxation for you and your family.
2) Where do you see yourself in twenty years? Twenty years from now, do you hope to be in the same home? Which home can you see yourself growing older in? Having a long-term plan can help you determine if a certain home is the right home for you.
3) What do you really need? It can be easy to make a decision based on what we want instead of what we need. It’s best to buy a home that offers qualities that you need. For example, if one home has more bedrooms and you have a growing family then that would be the best choice. If you are burnt out from years of an awful commute to your work, then it’s best to buy the home that’s closer.
At the end of the day, just listen to your intuition and you will know which home to choose!
